CHEM 3341 - Survey of Biochemistry

(3 CR, 3T + 0L)

Covers the basic principles of biochemistry, including properties of nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and lipids, while also introducing the chemistry of metabolic pathways, pH regulation, membranes and receptors, cell organization, enzymes kinetics and mechanisms, hormonal regulation, energy transformations, chemical reactions in living cells, ATP synthesis and use, and biochemical genetics.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 2120 /CHEM 2120L  and CHEM 3301 /CHEM 3301L .
