CJUS 4410 - Comparative Perspectives in Crime and Justice

(3 CR, 3T + 0L)

The focus of this course will be to develop an understanding of the various specialized fields in the areas of criminal law, criminal procedures, prosecution, defense, and court procedures and decision-making through a comparative perspective. We will discuss recent developments and issues in the American criminal justice system, based on a basic understanding of criminal justice systems in other countries and explore topics related to crime and justice with a global outlook.

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1110 .
