EDUC 4460 - Reading and Writing Across Content Areas in Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Classrooms

Methods of teaching reading and writing across content areas are explored. The development and implementation of research-based reading and writing instructional approaches using informational text and alternative assessments are explored. Culturally relevant pedagogy is stressed. The course includes technology applications, experiential learning, and thematic instruction.
