EECE 3380 - Introduction to Cybersecurity(3 CR, 3T + 0L)
This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including confidentiality, integrity, authentication, nonrepudiation, and availability. Modern malware threats, including viruses, Trojans, worms, and botnets and a general understanding of how to protect networks and systems using state-of-the-art security appliances, including next-generation firewalls, threat prevention, logging and reporting functions, VPNs, and others are covered.
Prerequisite(s): EECE 2230 .
