EMET 4454 - Solar Thermal and Electric Energy Storage

The focus of this course is on learning the fundamentals of energy storage using either solar thermal or electric energy. Students will study thermal processes of solar energy conversion in solar engineering through topics such as solar radiation, solar harnessing equipment and system, solar materials and properties, solar applications, and solar system design. Students will also study electrochemical, electrostatic, and electromechanical processes for storage of electrical energy: design of storage systems; storage efficiency measures.
