ENGL 3320 - Editing Forum

(3 CR, 3T + 0S)

This course will introduce students to the world of creative or professional writing and editing opportunities. Students will explore and review online and print examples of creative or professional publications to familiarize themselves with various editorial and design styles. Students will engage in the first stage of producing publications, which includes deciding on content, organizing and reading submissions and collaboratively deciding on work to be accepted. Student editors will develop skills in recognizing talent in various genres and will learn to appropriately communicate with contributors and designers.
