ARTS 3302 - Professional Practices

(3 CR, 3T + )

This course teaches students professional practices in the creative arts. Students will learn to develop a professional business model for success as an independent creator. Work will include identifying and writing grants for art or literary RFP and RFQ proposals, developing a professional resume or CV, understanding copyrights, publishing, and trademarks, and tax requirements for self-employed and contract based creative production, and preparing submissions for galleries and exhibitions.
