ENVS 3375 - Environmental Geology(3 CR, 3T + 0L)
This course is designed to introduce you to the basic topics of Geology as it pertains to the environment, environmental management, and natural hazards. This course will touch on the fundamentals of physical geology (rock types, mineral identification, plate tectonics, geomorphology etc.), The emphasis of the course is on human interactions with the environment. We will focus on natural geological processes on Earth and the anthropogenic effects on those processes. We will approach this by looking at natural hazards, natural resources, and sustainability.
Prerequisite(s): ENVS 1110 /ENVS 1110L or GEOL 1110 /GEOL 1110L
