FDMA 3302 - Documentary Film Production

(4 CR, 3T + 1S)

This project-based studio class focuses on planning and producing individual and/or group documentaries. Students will start with an initial survey of documentary history and practice to develop themes and subjects they wish to explore. They will then begin shooting, encouraged to incorporate personal elements into their work while relying on gear and techniques that fit small budgets. Students have the option to work individually or in groups.
